Last night was the first fire of the year. We have a real wood burning fireplace in our house, just like the one that my parents have at their house. I LOVE the sound of a sizzling, crackling fire. Ahhh, that sound means comfort to me.

I know that the statement I am about to type will inflame many people in the world, but I am writing it anyway. I am listening to Christmas music while I type this. J and I are really funny about Christmas music. It makes us smile and it puts both of us in a great mood. So ever since our first year of marriage, after Halloween we play Christmas music at our house. The only real downside is that the day after Christmas J is done with the Christmas music. I, however, could listen to it until Twelfth night.
